... but does the thought of Sarah Palin trying again thrill anyone other than Tina Fey?

I was going to bring up the Nixon example as well. Palin could learn a great deal from his example.

The question is, with a pervasive blogosphere (I have no hope for the press), will she be able to get away with some things the way Nixon was able to during his era. The biggest damage to Palin was herself and her readily available history. Those were not concerns for Nixon during his time.

She's have to have some kind of platform first. I can't make heads or tails of her. She seems to just say yes to everything people ask her.

Not likely. We lost there. We should go back and take it! VICTORY FOR JESUS!

...or something.

He did get a lot of fantastic things done, though. His personal failings were very unfortunate and he could have done a lot more for us if he'd been able to work through that crap.

He did a lot more than just that. But, then who knows what it would have done for the rest of history.

At any rate, I think we'd be a lot better off if Watergate had never happened. If nothing else, the -gate suffix wouldn't be added to every stupid thing ever. I'm so over that.

It might help if she started speaking like a presidential candidate. Lose the "you betchas" and whatever other Palinisms she used. If she came to me for a job interview (which is essentially what a campaign is)I would not be impressed.
