Still Waiting on Florida

  • Nov. 4th, 2008 at 9:05 PM
The polls have been closed for two hours here in Florida, and it's still too close to call. With 45% of Florida precincts reporting, Obama is up 52 - 48 with a lead of more than 200,000 votes.

With Obama holding onto Pennsylvania, the electoral map seems to be running true to form. North Carolina and Virginia are two other "red states" that have yet to be called, either of which could push the result toward Obama.

I don't show it being 52/48 in Florida. I'm constantly refreshing the page and it keeps bouncing between 49.something vs 49.something else between the two of them. 49.4 to 49.8, 49.6 to 49.6, 49.5 to 49.7 ... so yeah. Closer than 52/48. (And third party candidates are getting almost a whole percent! Woo!)
