We're just one week from Election Day, and here in the US Election 2008 community, we're looking to try something new and interesting as the votes are cast and counted.

We're seeking LJ users like you to be our eyes and ears on the ground across the 50 states (and the District of Columbia - sorry, Guam) and report back here in the community on what you've seen. Long lines? Dirty tricks? More pollsters than voters? Interesting comments from average citizens? We want to know about it.

If you're interested in participating in this community as an Election Day moderator, and are willing to commit to post at least once on the day, please leave a comment with the state and region you live in, along with your e-mail address. These comments will be screened to protect your personal information. We will contact those selected directly, and they will be given posting access to the community on Election Day to share their stories.

We're looking for LJ users in all states, but particularly interested in those of you in the following key battleground states: Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
