Jessica Yellin is the first victim of CNN's holographic projection from Chicago into the CNN HQ. The effect is eerily like R2-D2's holo-projection of Princess Leia.

UPDATE: Not a second after I posted this, Yellin says "I feel like Princess Leia"

I thought it was kind of cheesy. All they did is a blue/green/whatever screen with coordinated camera movement on both ends, then added flickery hologram effects. The picture we saw was still just a composite of the camera at both ends.

Edit to add: And for the drinking game, any time CNN does something "For the first time on TV" or unveils some fancy "new technology" they want to brag about, take a drink.

Drove this sci-fi fan nuts. They kept saying they were "beaming" Yellin into the studio, which is a STAR TREK phrase, then she mentions Princess Leia from STAR WARS.

Gee, Jessica, get your fandoms right! LOL

Considering tv is still 2D, that was rather pointless...
